FAQ
Here are the most frequently asked questions that I receive.
When did you start blogging?
I started Full of Plants in May 2016, my first post was this Mint & Lemon Quinoa Salad. It took me a few months though before launching the blog to practice food photography, develop enough recipes and set up the website.
Are you a full-time blogger?
Yes, I started blogging full-time about one year after launching Full of Plants.
Can I share your recipe or photo on my website?
I do not allow republication of full recipes. My recipes are copyrighted (please read the terms of service) and may not be republished elsewhere without permission. However, you can share one photo from a recipe if you give credit with a link to the original post.
You do not need to ask for permission if you want to feature one of my recipe in your round-up as long as you share no more than one image, give credit, and share a link to the recipe URL.
If you create a recipe inspired by one of my recipes, please give credit in the post and in the recipe’s notes. Also, please do not adapt a recipe by only changing one ingredient.
What camera and lens do you use?
I shoot with a Canon Rebel SL1 (also called EOS 100D). Regarding the lens, from May 2016 to April 2018 I used a Canon EF 50mm f1/8 STM lens, it’s a pretty cheap lens and it really does a great job. In April 2018, I changed for a Canon EF 50mm f1.2 L USM lens.
Do you shoot with artificial or natural light?
I always shoot with natural light.
Which software do you use to edit your photos?
I edit all the photos in Lightroom and often use filters from VSCO Film 05 pack. Then I make additional adjustments in Photoshop before exporting for the web.
How do I create my own food blog?
You can check out my post on How to Start Your Own Food Blog, I give all the details step-by-step on how to get started.
I tried your recipe but it didn’t work. What happened?
I’m sorry to hear you had trouble with one of my recipes. I make each recipe at least twice before releasing it to make sure the ingredients, measurements, and instructions are clear. Please make sure you followed the exact recipe and didn’t make any substitutions. If you are still not happy with the results, let me know in the comments or by email and I will see what I can do about it. I really want you to enjoy each recipe!
